William Hague visits Kingswood School
4th February 2010
William Hague MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary and Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party, visited Kingswood School in Corby today at the invitation of Louise Bagshawe, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Corby and East Northants.
William and Louise toured the new school site, still currently under development, with Headteacher David Tristram and members of the construction team before joining A-Level politics students for a question and answer session.
Louise Bagshawe said:
“William Hague is a leading member of David Cameron’s team and I wanted him to see at firsthand the wonderful achievements of teachers and students at Kingswood School.
“Chatting to and taking questions from the A-Level politics students was really worthwhile and enjoyable - they certainly tested William’s expert knowledge on a wide range of issues!”
“The new site at Kingswood, due to be completed this summer, will be a real boost not only to the school, but also to the town as a whole.
“It’s a first class development and further proof of Corby’s bright future”.
Before leaving Corby, William met local Conservative supporters and activists at Corby Conservative Club and enjoyed a quick half with local Club members!
