Kettering, Wellingborough and Corby Tories demand an end to Brown's NHS cuts

12th March 2007

Barely six months after Corby Community Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit opened, the Labour government was threatening to close it!

Northamptonshire Primary Care Trust is sunk in debt. Corby people have to travel to Kettering for a major hospital and many find it hard to get an NHS dentist. Residents in Kettering and Wellingborough are also affected and all North Northants Tories stand together to defend the NHS against Gordon Brown’s health cuts.

Philip Hollobone MP (Kettering), Peter Bone MP (Wellingborough) and Roger Helmer MEP (East Midlands) campaigned with Louise in Corby town center against Brown’s NHS cuts. More than 400 Corby people signed the petition in under two hours and we almost ran out of petition forms.
