Louise visits Creative Arts Exhibition at Tresham College
21st June 2010
Louise Bagshawe, MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire, attended the annual Tresham College Creative Arts Exhibition on Thursday 17th June.
The event, which runs from Friday 18th June to Wednesday 23rd June at the College’s Kettering Campus, showcases the work of current students of visual and performing arts subjects at the college.
Tresham’s Principal Mark Silverman said:
"Our Creative Arts show is a great opportunity for our students to show off their talents and demonstrate their creativity after completing one of our full and part time programmes. Our students are diverse in age range from 16 to over 60 and all of them have a passion for the arts which our staff nurture and encourage. This arts show will be as extensive and vibrant as ever and our students and staff should be very proud of the quality of artwork produced."
Louise Bagshawe said:
“I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet staff and students as I toured the display rooms.
“The exhibition is a culmination of their hard work and represents the remarkable talent they have. Everyone at Tresham should be incredibly proud of the work on show at the Creative Arts Exhibition. It is truly impressive and inspiring and I wish all of the students involved the best of luck as University assessors and prospective employers view their work over the next few days.
“Corby has something to really look forward to with the new Tresham College Corby Campus opening on Oakley Road in the near future, giving many more young people in our community the opportunity to further their education locally and acquire specialist skills like the ones on display at the Creative Arts Exhibition.”
